Who can get it
- Landholding farmer families (husband, wife, minor children)
- Cultivable land in their name in the state's land records
- Families of government Multi Tasking Staff / Group D employees are also eligible
Who cannot
- Institutional landholders
- Any family member who paid income tax in the last assessment year
- Holders of constitutional posts, ministers, MPs/MLAs, mayors (present or former)
- Government officers/employees (except MTS / Group D)
- Retired pensioners getting ₹10,000 or more a month
- Practising doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs and architects

How to apply
- Open 'New Farmer Registration' on pmkisan.gov.in
- Enter Aadhaar and mobile number, confirm with OTP
- Fill in land and bank details and submit
- Or register at your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre)
- Complete eKYC after registering

- Open 'Know Your Status' on pmkisan.gov.in
- Enter your registration number (you can look it up there if you don't know it)
- You'll see the status of each installment and your eKYC

Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), landholding farmer families get ₹6,000 every year — three installments of ₹2,000, every four months, straight into their bank account. The 23rd installment was released on 20 June 2026. eKYC is mandatory to receive the money.
Why didn’t my installment come?
The most common reasons are incomplete eKYC or a bank account not seeded with Aadhaar. The department has also held payments until physical verification in some cases — for example land acquired after 01-02-2019, or more than one member of the same family receiving the benefit. Check your status in ‘Know Your Status’.
